Wedding in Los Angeles, Melissa & Robert
Finally, the big day arrived! After few months from their couple session in DTLA, Melissa and Robert got married. Definitely, this has been one of the sweetest weddings we’ve ever shot!
There was such a warm and happy atmosphere, love was all around, their family and friends took part in this wedding with an incredible emotional involvement.
As we all began arriving at Millwick, the ceremony and reception location in DTLA, the excitement in the air grew palpable. Melissa and Robert exchanged their vows in Millwick’s urban oasis, in a wonderful courtyard surrounded by trees and plants. After both romantic and funny ceremony, the reception has begun, and the bride and the groom have had dinner with their friends and family in a tropical-urban atmosphere. Colorful flowers, plants and bricks walls were the perfect backdrop, all the decorations and the settings of the location have been arranged by the event coordinator Courtney Cotter of The Joy Parade.
The day ended with the crazy dancing of everybody under a floor-to-ceiling projection screen showing old cartoons and old movie scenes. Melissa and Robert welcomed us into their intimate event and treated us like family. What a great pleasure, to photograph such a joyful event and deep love such as theirs.
About the photographers
Mary and Maurizio are wedding photographers in Italy. They love capturing moments of genuine happiness and fun, feelings and emotions.
They shoot weddings in Tuscany, Como Lake, Apulia, Amalfi Coast of course, and abroad. They’ve worked together in adv agencies for several years, dealing with fashion and lifestyle, and this still has a strong influence on their style. Travels and cinema are also some of their greatest sources of inspiration.
Their photos are always devised with a look that comes directly from advertising, fashion and movies. They translate true moments of life through a kind of glam eye, they “aim to document reality in a glamorous way, always without taking away spontaneity from our shoots”.
They love to make their couples feel at ease in order to let them look spontaneous and gorgeous in their photos. Their main goal is catching authentic moments of joy and raw emotions
